I'm here today to share with you a low-cost and very effective way to remove your makeup. That's right, homemade makeup remover! All you need is:
- - Coconut Oil
- - Distilled/Filtered Water
- - Small Container (jar, spray bottle, liquid dispense bottle etc)
- -Cottonballs
- Fill your container with 2/3 water
- Add 1/3 coconut oil to 2/3 water (exact measurements depend on the size of your container, but always use the 1:3 ratio)
And THAT my beauties is the end of the recipe.
Yup, that's it.
Yes, it's that easy.
I know right!
Whether it's the middle of the day or late at night you can easily remove makeup with this solution, and it's always handy to you. The best part about it is that coconut oil works as a good moisturizer for your face.
GiaBeautyy Suggestions:
- When removing makeup from your eye, always use circular motions, from the outer corner of your eye to the inner corner and around.
-You can substitute coconut oil for olive oil or even almond oil. Just know that olive oil is a lot thicker/heavier than coconut oil, so you would use a lesser oil to water ratio (maybe about 1:4)
- For your container, I recommend a spray or dispenser bottle. With a jar you're inclined to dip the cotton ball into the mixture which can add germs (gross), or you can even accidentally double dip an already used cotton ball leaving makeup particles into your mixture and causing more germs (gross).
you can find these at a Dollar
General, theyre usually sold as travel bottle kits.

-Thats just a suggestion. I dont want to seem like a hypocrite but I use a glass tupperware bowl for my solution, which is totally fine as well! Just make sure to wash it out and make a new solution frequently (about every 7-10 days)
